DIGITAL ECONOMY

Welcome

Dear Rectors, Principals, Principals, Leaders and Teachers of COEPES:

Welcome to the Microsite of the Digital Economy Implementation Programme, I send you a sincere and warm greeting.

This programme aims to contribute to increasing the digital maturity of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the region, in order to strengthen their competitiveness in the market, and now more than ever, the spirit of collaboration, joint learning and linkage to build the future we want through the training of the talent that our country and the world need, makes great sense.

I thank the Coordinating Team and the Institutional Liaisons for all the work they are doing for the success of this programme in our state. All with the purpose of serving our communities, as Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, President of COEPES, has said.
In this space you will be able to find the materials generated in the working sessions, where the most relevant documents that can help and support us all will be posted.

I offer you a warm welcome and a sincere and fraternal embrace.
I look forward to the opportunity to greet you personally.

Yours sincerely,

Dr. Martha Aguilar Trejo

Leader of the strategic group of the COEPES Digital Economy Implementation Programme.
Rector of the University of Celaya.

BACKGROUND

On 26 June, COEPES launches a strategy to focus efforts to address the pandemic and its effects, as well as to strengthen the resilience of the state's social development.

After several sessions of exploring options and reaching agreements, on 11 August, the Strategic Group for the Reactivation of Social and Economic Development starts planning a project to boost the evolution of MSMEs in the state of Guanajuato, from the traditional economy to the digital economy.

Since then, the Strategy Group has met on a fortnightly basis, practically without interruption - with the exception of the occasional holiday period - and has held a number of special meetings and workshops to design the project and plan its implementation.

OBJECTIVES

Through the talent and dedication of members of the academic staff and student communities of the HEIs affiliated to COEPES, the aim is to contribute to increasing the digital maturity of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, in order to strengthen their competitiveness in the market.

This intervention is based on COEPES' own methodology.

It is planned to involve approximately 2,000 students for the benefit of 2,000 to 3,000 MSMEs.
