  1. In accordance with Article 183 of the General Student Regulations of the Universidad de Celaya, the deadline for tuition payment is the first 15 calendar days of each month. Failure to pay on time will generate late charges at the rate of 5% per month at the due date of each tuition document and accumulable until the date of its liquidation.

Need to apply for a scholarship?

The scholarship program of the University of Celaya is looking for promising new students with a desire to improve, a good average and economic need, who will contribute to the University during their years of study and to society beyond graduation.

Academic achievement and financial need are important factors, however, the Scholarship Committee considers other factors in the decision to award a scholarship such as: personality, special talents, excellence of all kinds, ability to take advantage of opportunities and agreement of personal or particular points of view with the philosophy of the University of Celaya.

Guidelines

  • The scholarships of the University of Celaya consist of the percentage contribution that a student receives to the total amount Of the tuition payment plan.
  • When applying for a scholarship it is necessary to cover the following requirements:
    • Having financial need.
    • Passing the admission exam.
    • Fill out a scholarship application for admissions.
    • Provide a copy of the required documents in admissions.
    • Paying for the socio-economic study.
  • Once the requirements have been fulfilled, the following aspects will be weighted to determine, if applicable, the percentage of the grant awarded:
    • Qualification obtained in the admission exam.
    • Applicant's economic situation.
    • Average high school grades (minimum academic average equal to 8.5).
    • Attitudes, capacities and values of the prospect in line with the institutional philosophy (In interview with the Scholarship Committee)
    • Budget available at the time of the application.
    • Number of scholarship applications.
  • At the moment of granting the scholarship the scholarship holders commit themselves to:
    • Take an active part and follow the scholarship development program guidelines.
    • Maintain an average high school grades (minimum academic average equal to 8.5).
    • Not to become a creditor of reports due to indiscipline.
    • Be up to date in the payment of enrollment and tuition.
    • Comply with the principles of conduct and communication of the University of Celaya.
  • To conserve and renew the scholarship, students undertake to:
    • Form an active part and follow the guidelines of the Talent Development program.
    • Maintain a minimum school average of 8.5 without failing subjects.
    • Do not become a creditor of reports for indiscipline and always observe a conduct of respect and experience of institutional culture of the University of Celaya.
    • Be aware of tuition fees.

In case of not fulfilling those  commitments the scholarship holder assumes that he / she will lose a percentage or the total of the scholarship.

  • The Scholarship Committee is the body that evaluates and determines the scholarships awarded. Your decisions are unappealable.
