Mexico is the leading vehicle manufacturer in Latin America and the 7th largest in the world.
The state of Guanajuato is home to 6 of the 11 main car assembly plants and around 200 kilometers away, the remaining 5, as well as all the secondary and tertiary industries derived from them, making it the most important automotive cluster in Mexico. The lack of really trained personnel has caused companies to resort to employee piracy, going in search of workers to other regions close to the state and importing labor.
In 2015, the automotive and auto parts sector accounted for 20.8% of total Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
The opportunities offered by this sector will be for those professionals who are leaders and who possess strategic, creative and entrepreneurial vision that respond to the demands (through the use of Core Tools) of globalization and regional and national competitiveness.
