Karla Daniela is studying International Trade and Logistics at Uni, and during this semester she obtained the Uni Scholarship to study in Brazil for a semester.

When you entered Uni did you know there were international programs?

Yes, and it was one of the reasons why I decided to enter Uní.

When you entered your career, did you think you would go to live and study abroad?

It was a goal from the beginning of my career

Have you ever lived or studied outside of Mexico before?

Yes, before entering the race I was living in Houston, TX.

What prompted or motivated you to study in another country?

The opportunity to get to know another culture, new customs, a new language and to take a little piece of Mexico to another country. Being more open and develop my sense of adapting to new things.

Why did you decide to study in that country?

Because of the prestige of the university (PUCRS), and because of the language, since Brazil is the only country in Latin America where they do not speak Spanish.

How did you feel when you arrived in the new country?

It was an explosion of mixed feelings, because I was very excited about the new experience but also scared and curious.

How have you been received at the university where you arrived?

Super Good, I consider the mobility department is very well trained and they have a super good vibe that makes you feel welcome. And in general the teachers and students are very helpful and friendly.

What will you miss most about Mexico?

To my family, I consider that they are what gives you encouragement and strength to go on day by day.

What about the Uni?

My classroom, my classmates and teachers. Being able to communicate in my own language.

What is the most exciting thing you have experienced so far in this experience?

Traveling within the country and being able to see wonderful sights, meeting many people from different countries and learning from them, their culture, customs.

And the hardest part?

Being away from home. At the beginning you don't realize how long you are going to stay, but as the days go by, not seeing your family, not sleeping in your bed, not speaking your language, getting sick and mom not being there to pamper you is the hardest thing I have experienced.

What do you expect as a person and as a professional from this program?

I hope to learn a lot in every way, to grow as a human being and that my mentality changes for the better.

Do you recommend these opportunities provided by Uni to your colleagues?

Yes, one hundred percent, because these are experiences and opportunities that not just any university can offer. THANK YOU UNI!
