Sí, cuando estuve en admisiones me explicaron y fue una de las razones por las que elegí a la Universidad de Celaya.

Tenía la esperanza, pero realmente no sabía si mis padres me iban a dar la oportunidad de irme a estudiar al extranjero.

Estuve viviendo por 1 mes en Estados Unidos hace un par de años.
What prompted or motivated you to study in another country?
Conocer otra cultura.
Ampliar mis horizontes.
Ser autosuficiente.
Salir de mi zona de confort.
Y finalmente estudiar y aprender de una manera diferente.
Why did you decide to study in that country?
Porqué después de investigar un poco, concluí que Chile en América Latina es catalogado como uno de los mejores países y además porque tiene un territorio donde puedes encontrar de todo.
How did you feel when you arrived in the new country?
Incertidumbre por estar a más de 6,700km de casa, pero al mismo tiempo súper emocionado por saber lo que pasaría conmigo en ese sitio durante los siguientes meses.
How have you been received at the university where you arrived?
El día de la charla súper bien, nos trataron bonito y nos explicar algunas cosas importantes, también conocimos un poco de la cultura de Chile e hicimos algunos bailes típicos.
Y académicamente en mi primer día de clases me bombardearon con un workshop internacional de Arquitectura que duró las primeras tres semanas de clases, y ahora sé que fue una de las actividades más pesadas pero más fructíferas que obtuve de mi intercambio, ya que compartí esta experiencia de workshop con españoles, brasileños, suizos, chilenos y otros mexicanos.
What will you miss most about Mexico?
La comida mexicana sin duda alguna, como los tacos y los chiles en nogada.
Mi familia.
Mis mascotas.

What is the most exciting thing you have experienced so far in this experience?
-Creo que lo más emocionante que vivir en aquel sitio fue el conocer a personas de todo el mundo, literalmente, el poder hacer amigos súper fácil que de un día para otro se habían vuelto parte muy importante de mi día a día.
-Salir de mi zona de confort y acostumbrarme demasiado rápido.
-Y también el vivir con cuatro desconocidos prácticamente, que se volvieron parte fundamental de mi vida, y ahora son como mis hermanos.
And the hardest part?
Creo que no hubo algo realmente que se me hiciera difícil.
Como lo escribí arriba, salí de mi zona de confort, pero me acoplé muy rápido a mi nueva vida en Santiago.
What do you expect as a person and as a professional from this program?
Nuevas experiencias de vida, además de un crecimiento personal, profesional y mas ganas de recorrer el mundo.
Do you recommend these opportunities provided by Uni to your colleagues?
Completa y absolutamente, creo que si tenemos la oportunidad deberíamos de aprovecharlo, ya que obtenemos demasiados beneficios de estas experiencias, tanto personales como profesionales.

When you entered Uni did you know there were international programs?
Si, de hecho, fue uno de los principales motivos por los que me
agrado la universidad, ya que me gusta mucho viajar y superarme cada vez más, y
que mejor estudiar lo que uno le gusta con un plus como lo es en el extranjero.
Cuando entraste a tu carrera ¿Creíste que te irías a vivir y
estudiar en el extranjero? Esa era mi meta, por lo que puse
de mi empeño y esfuerzo académicamente para poder lograr aquel objetivo tan
anhelado.

Así es, estuve estudiando seis meses en Estados Unidos antes de
entrar a la universidad.
¿Que te impulsaba o motivaba para estudiar en otro país?
Viajar,
aprender nuevas culturas, y socializar con gente que ahora estoy bastante feliz
de haber conocido con los que sigo en contacto, entre ellas mi novia.
Why did you decide to study in that country?
Decidí Chile, debido a que es un país económicamente estable y con
desarrollo y seguridad excelente, que le daría un plus a mi carrera, conociendo
nuevas formas de hacer negocios en el mundo y las perspectivas de ellos hacia
nosotros y el mundo.
How did you feel when you arrived in the new country?
Nervios, quizá un poco de ansiedad, pero a la vez mucha felicidad y
plenitud de lograr todo lo que tenía en mente.
How have you been received at the university where you arrived?
Fue un día de introducción fantástico donde tuve la oportunidad de
conocer a muchas personas, y nuestros tutores y gente de internacionalización
siempre estuvieron al pendiente de nuestro progreso y estabilidad, así mismo,
fue muy bueno haber asistido a los viajes repentinos que realizaban para
conocer e interactuar más con los demás alumnos de intercambio.
What will you miss most about Mexico?
La calidez de su gente, mi familia, mis amigos, y el confort, así
mismo la comida.

Amigos, y el ritmo de trabajo y estudio que tenía ya bien manejado.
¿Qué es lo más emocionante que has vivido hasta ahora en esta
experiencia? Haber conocido
al amor de mi vida, poder conocer tres países sudamericanos, y el haber hecho
muchos amigos con los que disfrutamos e hicimos más placentera nuestra estancia
en Santiago.

El valerme por mi mismo, y madurar tanto profesionalmente como ser
humano.
¿Qué esperas como persona y como profesional de este programa?
Que siga habiendo estos programas y oportunidades que les abran el
panorama a los estudiantes, donde puedan seguir superándose.

Las recomiendo al máximo. Vuelves con nuevos retos y con una plenitud
extraordinaria.

mi plenitud, y felicidad al máximo, donde tuve a los mejores amigos, a mis
roomies y a mi novia, a los que les agradezco su compañía en estos viajes por
Chile, Brasil, y Argentina, cada uno con sus increíbles paisajes que nos
llenaron de energía y armonía que me permitieron realizarme mejor como persona

El estar solo en un principio sin conocer a nadie e
incluso parecer un simple extraño porque ya no estás en tu zona de confort fue
algo muy emocionante para mí, donde aprendi a realizar mis propias cosas y poco
a poco adaptándome al nuevo estilo de vida, también estar conviviendo con
personas de otros países, conocer lugares nuevos fue increíble.

Para mí lo más difícil fue cuando pasaron las
manifestaciones y el paro en la universidad, no tenías oportunidad de salir de
tu casa por lo peligroso que era, pero al final todo salió bien.
¿Qué esperas como persona y como
profesional de este programa?
Fue una de las mejores experiencias que he vivido,
sin duda te ayudan a madurar y crecer profesionalmente, te abre muchos panoramas
para saber qué quieres realizar en un futuro.

Si, estaba en mis metas, desde que
entre a la universidad de Celaya era uno de mis objetivos.

Solo un diplomado en Barcelona que también fue
gracias a la universidad de Celaya.
¿Que te impulsaba o
motivaba para estudiar en otro país?
Quería aprender más sobre mi carrera desde
otro punto de vista, conocer un país y su cultura, así como experimentar un
estilo de vida diferente, para darme cuenta que tiene y que necesita mi país.
¿Por qué decidiste
estudiar en ese país?
Porque tienen un buen nivel en nutrición
deportiva y es el ramo que a mí me interesa más y siempre es bueno ir a otro
país para aprender nuevas cosas.
¿Qué sentiste cuando
llegaste al nuevo país?
Me sentí con ganas de conocer todo el país, me
sentía como un explorador porque quería recorrer toda la ciudad, probar comida
típica, conocer a la gente de ahí, sus modismos, su cultura, etc.
¿Cómo te han recibido en
la universidad a la que llegaste?
Me recibieron muy bien, me prestaron mucha
atención.
¿Qué es lo que más
extrañarás de México?
La familia, mis amigos, la comida, la
amabilidad de las personas.

Quede impresionado con la clase de nutrición
deportiva, mis maestros eran expertos en el tema y con los paisajes de Chile,
de norte a sur es un país muy bonito y único, así como tener nuevos amigos de
diferentes nacionalidades.

Creo que fue cuando comenzaron las
manifestaciones, fue muy difícil para todos porque el país estaba viviendo una
etapa muy difícil.
¿Qué esperas como persona
y como profesional de este programa?
Aprovechar lo máximo para conocer y crecer en
mi carrera, después de este intercambio me queda claro a lo que me quiero
dedicar.

Yes, I knew that UNI had agreements in many parts of the world.
When you entered your career, did you think you would go to live and study abroad?
I was looking forward to doing it, but I was too scared to spend "so much" time away from my family.
Have you ever lived or studied outside of Mexico before?
No, I had had experiences abroad, but never for more than 3 weeks.
What prompted or motivated you to study in another country?
To get out of my comfort zone, to get to know other cultures, because it is so different but at the same time we are so much the same, especially when I saw people traveling from all over the world.
Why did you decide to study in that country?
Because I knew that Chile was a developing country, I had seen pictures of colleagues and it looked very nice, full of so many things and well, it is the last country in America.
How did you feel when you arrived in the new country?
Nervous, because I knew that everyone comes back with a different mentality, wanting to do things differently, I was very curious and anxious to start school and meet all my new classmates.
How have you been received at the university where you arrived?
The university welcomes you at the airport, plus they have a day dedicated to exchange students, we exchanged numbers and thus we became closer to more classmates, plus on school trips you make more friends.
What will you miss most about Mexico?
The spiciness, the food and my family.
What about the Uni?
My friends, my soccer teammates and being part of the alumni society.
What is the most exciting thing you have experienced so far in this experience?
The most exciting experience was the day I tried to climb one of the many mountains in Chile, in a southern city. I thought it would be easy, but the road was full of mud and there were parts that still had snow, that made everything more complicated, after many slips, at the end, we had a beautiful lake and some waterfalls on the way.
And the hardest part?
The most difficult experience has been when the marches began and they decreed a "curfew", the fact of not being able to leave the house, since there were soldiers in the streets and wounded, among other things, after the "curfew" ended, the marches became more pleasant and it has also been the experience that has taught me the most, throughout the exchange, although many colleagues went back, it taught me to be empathetic and in solidarity with my partner.
What do you expect as a person and as a professional from this program?
The education in Chile is very good, so I hope to learn a lot, but as a person I hope to be more empathetic, to grow more; to be independent, because cooking, washing, taking care of your "apartment", that makes you treasure more, because you know that if something happens you are 6,000 km away, so it is difficult to solve it with the family. Learn to enjoy the small moments.
Do you recommend these opportunities provided by Uni to your colleagues?
Yes!
